Night out with Sis!

Jenny and I had a Lovely night out tonight.  We went for a mani/pedi and then to dinner.  The restaurant was so fun!  It's a place called Il Matto - which translates to "the mad man" in Italian.  The drink menu is wacky - the food menu is wackier - and everything was delicious!  I have to mention the pasta we shared.....it was basically a carbonara, BUT, it was done as a ravioli filled with an egg yolk, a parmigiana fondue and pieces of crispy pancetta on top - WOW!  The other thing worth mentioning is the eggplant dessert we had.  That's right - I said dessert!  It was some kind of candied eggplant with a sicilian nouget, dark chocolate and almond foam.  You wouldn't think it would work, but it did!  Aside from the menu, the place is funky.  You walk in and the bar is above you and some of the tables are crazy booths that remind me of spinning teacups!  I loved every minute - what is better than being playful with your meal?!?

Not to mention......the company was FABULOUS!
