Furniture Shopping

Saturday morning John and I met Jenny for brunch at Prune, a cute little place on 1st and 1st and another place on John's bucket list.  We really lucked out, there is usually a wait of an hour or so, but we were seated immediately.  After a delicious meal, we went out to go furniture shopping.  It was quite the day!

Our first stop was ABC Home - I had seen a chair that I couldn't get out of my mind, so we went back to buy it.  Turns out, it was our lucky day!  The chair was on sale - more so than the last time we were there!  We also (full credit to Jenny for spotting it) found another chair......again on sale.....so stop one and we were really lucking out!

After the furniture floor, we went to the bedding/bath floor and purchased a duvet cover and sheets....sale again!

The fun chair Jenny spotted.   Not only is it a deep purple, it swivels!
The grey chair I fell in love with weeks ago!  We also bought an ottoman.
My little shoppers!
John has the bedding......it's orange and white.....nice and bright for the island

After ABC Home, we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond (where Jenny bought some sheets) and then to Jensen-Lewis to look at couches.  I had seen one I really like online, but needed to sit on it first.  When we finally found the one we were going to buy, we needed to decide on a color.  I always thought I would do grey, much different from our NYC apartment - something a bit lighter.......WELL, we didn't end up with grey, we ended up with Lilac!  That's right, a lilac couch!  John is such a trooper........I'm excited to see everything all together and see our new, bright, island home!

It was an exhausting, but productive day of shopping!!!
