The bucket list begins.....

We are on a mission to do all the things John wants to do before he leaves.  John said to me a while ago, when we were anxious about getting the offer letter and working on signing the deal, that at some point we would wish for that time back.  And now that he is leaving in less than two weeks, we're starting to feel that way - there is just not enough time to do everything we want too, but we're going to make an attempt!!

Friday night, we went to the Flatiron Lounge for a cocktail.  It's a great place for a sophisticated cocktail in the neighborhood John used to live.  We spent a lot of time there a few years back and it was nice to revisit.  We both had Manhattan's (very appropriate) and enjoyed them with our dear friend Brooke.

From there, we walked over to the Gramercy Park Hotel and had dinner at the bar at their restaurant, Maialino.  Maialino means baby pig in Italian and this place is all about the pig and it is delicious!  We managed to get space at the bar after waiting only 10 minutes (unheard of here - the wait is usually much longer) shared some pastas and appetizers and had a lovely evening.  The perfect start to the weekend!
