Mom, Dad and Tara - Part One

I just love it when our space is filled with visitors and this weekend we were lucky enough to have three!  I picked Tara up Friday afternoon and then we zipped out to the airport to get mom and dad.   After giving the house tour, we spent the evening at home with some Dark N' Stormy's and lots of laughter!

Saturday morning, we ventured out for a full day on the water.  There was a bit of wind, so our captain really worked his butt off trying to navigate the waters.  We stopped for a relaxing lunch a Cambridge Beaches, checked out the Vixen, putted through the harbor with our feet dangling off the front of the boat and made a vast attempt to anchor in Paradise Lakes.  That didn't work out so well, so we drifted for about 2 hours before heading back to Hamilton.  That evening, we had a great dinner at the Lighthouse.  John, Tara and I all had sea legs.....who would have ever thought mom and dad were the naturals????

Tara and I walked out in the water and photographed the lunch spot.....so shallow!

Random turtle, as it happens on this island!

Sunday morning, we headed to the beach club at the Southampton Princess for a relaxing beach day.  The weather was perfect and the water was even warm!  We spent the entire day on the beach, with the exception of a break for lunch.  Tara and I even went in the water.....mom says it was rum induced (we had some very tasty cocktails), but I'm going with adventurous instead!

We stayed in that night for dinner and a bit too much wine!  We had snacks on the lanai, dinner in the dining room and then headed to the bar for the rest of the night.  It was so fun just spending the time chatting!

OH.....AND....while tending to the herbs, mom and I found a toad hanging out in my lemon basil plant!  He was just burrowed into the dirt looking as happy and content as can be!  Luckily dad lured him out and over to the neighbors :-)

Our duck friend....must have come down from the golf course.  He hung out all day!

Lunch - I should have taken it looking at the ocean!

A relaxing Sunday for the captain

Waking dad from his 3 hour nap......no wonder we were up so late!

Did I forget to mention the after dinner grappa tasting????

Monday morning, we went for a walk and then unfortunately, off to the airport.  We dropped dad at the beach, Tara at the airport and mom and I went to celebrate mothers day with Tea at the Hamilton Princess.  It was a wonderful tea, very different!  No cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off here.  More like chicken and carmalized onions, lobster po boy, truffled egg salad.....you get the point.  It was wonderful!!!!

Feeling like we were queens for the afternoon!
