New things to report

This is kind of random, but I have three very unrelated things to talk about and no pictures, so....ease of doing business....

1.  I am no longer a goat farmer.  My mind got the best of me....it was either goat farming and become a vegetarian or continue to eat meat.  And as you all know, I love food and steaks WAY too much to become a vegetarian, so I had to say goodbye to my little goat friends.  I will always have the memories though!

2.  We had an earthquake today.  It was  50 miles off the coast of Bermuda and I think it was 4.4 magnitude.  I was at home doing laundry (good housewife!!!) and thought either my upstairs neighbors were doing some crazy tricks with their dogs or the washer was spazing out, neither unusual for life in Bermuda.  Turns out, it was an earthquake.......luckily, no tsunami to follow and all was ok!

3.  As you know, gyms are so expensive down here, I haven't joined one yet.  I did find one with classes at off times (and a good price - for Bermuda), but there is a waiting list, so in the interim, it's walking/running outside, until today.  I was just turned on to a bootcamp, run by a girl that works with John.  It's only $10 a class, so I figured I'd give it a shot.  I can honestly say I got my butt kicked!  Stacey would be proud that I didn't get sick and mad at me that I am out of shape - bootcamp shape that is!  It's 3 days a week, so should be a good way to supplement the walking/running on these Bermuda hills!  Hopefully the results make it worth the effort!!!

That's all for this lovely Monday!

  1. I love you and your updates. It makes my day when I see a new post from you on my Google Reader. I'm sorry I've been a deliquent commenter and blogger for that matter. Summer's around the corner though, so I'm sure I'll be catching up and back in full swing soon. Hugs to you and John! xoxox
