Saturday morning, we went to a few farms to buy some groceries. Most of them are only open on Saturday mornings, as they are working during the week. My favorite so far is called Windy Bank Farm. They produce lots of vegetables and herbs, as well as fresh eggs. The best part though is that the wife also makes gourmet goods from the farm and sells them. We bought some smoked tomato vinaigrette, pumpkin pie biscotti, olive breadsticks and a homemade salsa. Everything looked great, including her macaroons! I will definitely need to go back for more goods when I'm having visitors! The other farm had chicken, turkey and lamb, along with the produce. It's good to know these places exist and always nice to support the local farmers!
Afterwards, John and I went out exploring the beaches that are down the road from us. We found all sorts of neat little hideaways and places you can sit in the shade without an umbrella (mom and jenny!) It's amazing how beautiful it is here.....I am still in awe everyday!
The view from our lanai Saturday morning
The color of the water still amazes me!
We did a little climbing too! Worth it for the view!
This is one of my favorites! The sand looks pink and the water so clear!
A little chilly, but still warmer than Allenhurst in July!
Or how about this one? Pretty cool if you ask me!
And the pretty purple flowers lining the trail on the walk to the beach
Saturday evening, we went over to the Postles for dinner. They had another couple over too, Neil and Kathy Ratcliffe. It was great meeting new people and a fun evening filled with stories and lots of laughs! A big thank you to our gracious hosts! Antoinette made a delicious meal, staring with crostini with proscuitto, cheese and sage and ending with homemade caramel ice cream with a homemade caramel to go over the top. It was truly amazing!

The newlyweds dancing in the kitchen!
John, obviously having a good time!!!!!!
All very satisfied after a wonderful meal
Sunday afternoon, we met the Jordan's for what was supposed to be brunch at the Southampton Princess. Turned out we were a little late for that! Brunch in Bermuda is not quite the same as brunch in NYC. In fact, on our way over there, we ran into our neighbor who put it very well - brunch in bermuda is an omelette, some roast beef, pasta, cod cakes and sushi when all you really want is an omelette and a bloody mary! So maybe it was a blessing we were late for brunch and ended up with lunch!

Sounds like a perfect weekend!! I love the color of the water there - truly amazing!!
