Girls Weekend!

This past weekend, my best girlfriends from NYC came to visit and we had the greatest time!  It had been way too long since I had seen them......I know - a month really isn't that long when you live in a different country, but when we are used to seeing each other at a moments notice, a month feels like an eternity!

Brooke was the first to arrive on Wednesday night.  We just had a low key evening at home (since she didn't get in until 9pm) and enjoyed chatting and catching up - over a cheese plate and some wine, of course!

Thursday morning we woke up to a beautiful day!  We met John in Hamilton for a delicious sushi lunch outside before we headed to the airport to pick up Jenny

After we got Jenny, it was back to the house for bubbles and a little birthday celebration!  That evening, Meredith arrived and we all went to the Southampton Princess for cocktails and small bites.  We laughed and laughed - it was so great to have the girls with me and the best birthday present I could have ever hoped for!

It really was the perfect birthday!  I know I told most of you, I wanted to be on an island this year for my birthday and I have to thank John for making my birthday wish come true!

John had to work on Friday, so it was just the girls for the day.  We had lunch outside at Henry the VIII and sat on Horseshoe bay for a bit before we headed to Dockyard to do a bit of tourist sightseeing and shopping!

After our adventures, it was back to the house for some porch time and a dark n' stormy before we headed to Somerset to watch the sun go down and have dinner at the Salt Rock Grill.

Saturday morning, we were off on a new adventure - we rented a boat and went out on the open seas!  The weather was perfect for being on the water, we really lucked out!!  John did a great job as our captain - navigating through the boats and tiny little bridges!

Saturday night, Karl, Marta, Excell and Xavier came over for a bbq.  The girls had fun playing with the boys and seeing Karl and Marta again!

Sunday morning, we had breakfast at the Lighthouse before we took Jenny and Meredith back to the airport.

After the airport, Brooke, John and I had a lazy day!  We had dinner at home (leftovers!) and went to bed early - I think we were all BEAT from the weekend!  I took Brooke to the airport early this morning - I am sad to see my friends leave, but am so lucky they all came to visit me.  I hope that they now realize how close and easy it is to get here, they will come back and visit often!!!!

Thanks for a wonderful weekend B's!  You really made my birthday and it was so great having you all here with me!  I love you all!!!!  We missed Deirdre this weekend, but hopefully next time she can join us!
