Movies

Tonight, John and I decided to go to the movies.  We usually try and see every movie nominated for an Academy Award prior to watching the awards and we have been slacking a little this year.  I'm blaming it on the whole moving to a different country thing.

We were both thrilled to find out there are two movie theaters on the island and one is right around the corner from the corporate apartment!  Now, just so you truly understand "island life", let me explain....at the theater on this side of the island, they are showing The Fighter.  At the theater on the other side of the island, they are showing The King's Speech.  Next week, they flip flop!  I love life on the island!

I have to say, we both truly enjoyed the Fighter.  Christian Bale was amazing, as were Marky Mark and Amy Adams.  I'm starting to think this is going to be a good Oscar race and I can't wait to see the King's Speech and True Grit to round out my knowledge and start making predictions!   This is definitely up there so far!  If you haven't seen it already, I would recommend it.  Reminded me of Peekay and The Power of One.  With a lots of determination and hard work, anything is possible!
