This year, John and I stayed on the island for Christmas. It was a pretty big adjustment for me since it was the first time in 34 years that I wasn't in Allenhurst with my family, but thanks to my wonderful husband and good friends & neighbors, we had a fun holiday.
On Christmas Eve, Joy, David and Jackson came over and we did our own version of the Feast of the Seven Fishes (which has been a tradition in my family for as long as I remember). It was a delicious feast and even Jackson ate all seven fishes!
(I don't know what's going on with this website, but my pictures aren't loading in order, so please excuse the randomness)

| Getting festive! |
| As in NJ, Champagne is a must on the Eve |
| Tasty codfish balls and anchovy bites |
And lomi, lomi salmon (another NJ staple) We also had crab stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped scallops |
| And a little cioppino with a Bermuda guinea chick for dinner |
| My table |
| And finally, a retreat to the bar for the reading of the Grinch |
