Fun exploring!

This weekend, we had visitors in town and had a blast exploring the island, hanging on the beach and boating, of course!

First stop was the view from Astwood Park - one of my favorites on the island!

Next was a trip to the Crystal Caves - the caves were discovered by two boys playing cricket in 1907 - and they are pretty cool to see.

They say this looks like a lighthouse.....and the top is still 20 feet below the waters surface

After the caves, we stopped at Mickey's at Elbow Beach for lunch and ran into this fun statue...I love the high heels and that she's putting on lipstick!

We stopped by the princess for a bit of shopping (flowers by the entrance remind me of hawaii) and then to the Lighthouse to admire the view.

After a bit of a nap, we ventured back to Elbow Beach for a lovely dinner at Lido - the perfect end to our  filled day!

Saturday was spent on a boat - I still think it's the best way to see the island.  It's just so beautiful and we had perfect weather.  John was the captain of our 17ft Boston Whaler and we zipped all over the place.  We stopped for a swim in Mangrove Bay, lunch at Cambridge Beaches, fed the fish by the Vixen, and another swim stop in Paradise Lakes before we headed back to shore.

You really can't beat the view at Breezes - it's the perfect lunch stop!
Can you see all the fish flighting for the bread???

I think there were thousands of them!
We finished the day with dinner and cocktails at home - another fabulous day!

Sunday was spent at the beach at the Southampton Princess and in the water with our noodles!!

I love that the chairs have individual shades!
Sunday night we headed into town for dinner at Barracuda Grill, which was delicious as always!

Monday, we were off to the airport after lunch at Harbourfront - it was a quick four days, but lots of fun and we saw some things we hadn't before!  Love it when we have visitors!!!
