Tree Time!!

Tonight, Jackie and I drove through the Holland Tunnel to the Home Depot in Jersey City, NJ to purchase Christmas trees.  You may think this is crazy, but the trees in Manhattan are so expensive, it was cheaper to  pay all the tolls, spend the gas and drive to NJ to buy our trees.  Luckily, we didn't even need to strap them to the roof, they fit right in the back of the car!!

John and I spent the evening decorating the tree - it's always such a nice night, walking down memory lane while we go through all the ornaments.  Some of my favorites.....

My favorite building in NYC

Jenny made me this one YEARS ago

Tea anyone?  I still love these little guys - so glad my mom found this one!

This reminds me of Jenny Dinnen and our trip to Ireland!

  1. The ornaments are without a doubt my favorite part of decorating for Christmas. We have about three boxes of ornaments and at this point only the favorites make it on the tree. The one that always reminds me of you is our red I ♥ NY ball. Love all the updates. I agree - time is flying by! Love to you and John during this most wonderful time of year! xoxox
