John and I had a wonderful weekend, just relaxing. The added benefit was that my parents were here visiting, so we relaxed and had a lovely visit with them.
Friday night we had dinner at home with our neighbors, Joy and David. Living abroad, it's always nice for us to have our friends on the island meet our friends and family back home and vice versa. Since we spend quite a bit of time with the LaHuta's, we figured this would be a perfect opportunity. It was a fun evening with lots of laughs!
Saturday morning, we headed up to the Southampton Princess and spent the day enjoying Willow Stream Spa. It was 70 and sunny, which is the perfect day to enjoy the spa since they have a sun deck overlooking the Atlantic where you can tan, dine, sleep or just take it all in. After a nice steam, spa treatments and a spa lunch outside (along with a lot of hanging out in the sun), we met down at the hotels lobby bar for a cocktail. Then it was off to Bacci for an Italian dinner, the perfect way to end the perfect day!
Sunday morning, we walked up to the Lighthouse for breakfast. It was another beautiful day and nice to take advantage. The rest of the day was spent reading, doing the puzzle and watching football.
As always with weekends like that, they go by way too quickly, so Monday it was packing, lunch in town and then off to the airport. Although the weekend went by quickly, we really had lots of time to relax and spend some quality time together, which was really so nice!
