More Fun in Bermuda

Wednesday night, we were back on Horseshoe Beach playing volleyball.  When we were done, John was so sandy, he looked like a little kid who was playing on the beach all day.  Extra funny because of John's aversion to sand!  I wish I had taken a picture!

Thursday morning, I headed out to Tobacco Bay with my new friend Cynthia and her 1+ year old Patrick.  I had never been to Tobacco Bay, it's on the other side of the island (by the airport), so it was great to go and see it.  There is very good snorkeling there, although who needs to snorkel when you can stand in the water, not even waste deep and feed the fish?  Since we had little ones with us, we spent some time doing this - I must say, some were very pretty - my favorite being blue and yellow stripped!

Friday evening, John and I went to Blu for sunset and dinner.  Blu has a spectacular view and is one of the few places in Bermuda that we can dine at the bar (which was a staple in NYC), which makes it the perfect place for us.  It was a really nice evening out with my hubby.

Saturday, we ventured out to Tucker's Point Hotel to pick up a few things at the gift shop.  This hotel is one of the best on the island.  It's elegant, it's private, it's very exclusive and has stunning views.  We were going to try and have lunch, but unfortunately, the restaurant at the beach is limited to members and hotel guests only, so we just picked up what we needed and headed into town (not without a few pictures, of course!)

There is a private beach down here - don't know if you can see it, bit pretty cool!
Saturday night we headed out to Kira and Mark's for Mark's birthday party.  First, let me say I am sad I didn't bring my camera because their house is fabulous and the view is amazing!  Talk about the perfect place to watch sunset!  The night was super fun, we met so many nice people (most who are Bermudian which means they will be here for as long as we will :-) and the fiesta theme just made it that much better!  It was a great time!  We are lucky to have met such nice people!

Today is cloudy here in Bermuda, so golf, soccer (go USA!) and tending to the garden are on the agenda.  Not a bad way to end the weekend!
