Last weekend, I flew to San Diego for Tara and John's wedding showers. Saturday night was a tailgate themed couple's shower and Sunday was a lady's brunch. Let me just say, if this is any indication of what the wedding weekend is going to be like, we're in for a GOOD TIME!
Thursday night, Tara, Kit, Dick and I had a lovely dinner at C-Level, a restaurant right on the San Diego harbor. Friday, after a day of shopping, we had a little girls night. Tara, Katie, Dani, Jenifer and I went out for drinks, dinner and more drinks in downtown San Diego. It was a really fun evening filled with lots of laughs, good friends and delicious food.

Saturday, Tara, Katie and I went for a long walk down at the beach and then picked up John and headed to the Brigantine for lunch. It was a lovely morning and afternoon, nice and relaxing before the madness began.

Saturday night was the couple's shower at Janie and Bryan's. These guys really know how to throw a party! Their place was completely decked out in CU gear - little ralphie's everywhere, all of their picture frames had photos of Tara, John and their friends and family, tailgate games, CU cups, you name it, they had it. Janie and Bryan themselves were even dressed in full referee outfits, complete with the penalty flag (which was used often during the night). It was such a fun time, words and the pictures can't even come close to explaining....

You saw Janie with the box, Bryan has the string with a tennis ball hanging from it hanging from his waste. The goal is to get the ball in the box (NO HANDS!) as many times as you can in a 2 minute time period. Hilarious!!!!! |

Sunday morning was another bridal shower for Tara. We had a lovely time, playing much more tame games and chatting with friends.

It was such a fun weekend celebrating Tara and John! We are really looking forward to the wedding - I know John wishes he was at the shower and can't wait to be a part of your day in Boulder! I always love seeing these girls, they are so special to me and are always with me in their own ways. I have been very lucky this year to see them as often as I have and look forward to the upcoming adventures!
